The Dallas Symphony Practice Challenge
The Dallas Symphony Practice Challenge is an incentive program for music students, rewarding consistent practice with free and discounted concert tickets. Two of the most important elements of musical training are practicing and listening to great performances of music. Through the Dallas Symphony Practice Challenge, students are encouraged to meet their practice goals and then attend a DSO Classical performance for free.
How It Works
Private studio music instructors select students who accept the Practice Challenge. For six weeks, the students commit to practice six days per week for the amount of daily time assigned by their teacher. Teachers register those students with the Dallas Symphony, and students keep a log of their practice time for the six-week period.
Practice Logs
At the end of six weeks, students successfully completing the Practice Challenge submit their completed practice logs to claim their award of free and discounted tickets to a Dallas Symphony Classical concert. Teachers also receive a complimentary pair of tickets for entering their students in the Practice Challenge. To download the Practice Challenge packet, click here.
